SUMMER NEWS
I have been asked by the Plains Art Museum of Fargo, North Dakota to display instruments in their upcoming exhibition titled "Wood and Strings: A Luthier's Renaissance", scheduled to run February 26 through June 7, 2009. It is an honor to have been included in this presentation of some of the finest guitar builders working today, highlighting true artists and masters of the craft.
I was tickled to see that Krusa Guitars was highlighted in Acoustic Guitar Magazines September issue. The article, written by Russell Letson is a Luthier's Profile piece that is titled "Luthier combines traditional woodworking with innovative guitar designs". So if you want to read a bit more about these things that I build go pick up the latest Acoustic Guitar. It's a great rag. I have to mention what a pleasure it was to work with Russell on the article. I probably learned as much from him about Slack Key Guitar as he did about my instruments. So thanks Russell and all @ A.G.
Krusa Guitars will be available soon in England through The Acoustic Music Company. The shop, run by Trevor Moyle is located in Brighton, 60 miles South of London. Treavor has requested a Cocobolo/Engelmann Kyoto and a Quilted Mahogany/Sitka Fat Cat, so if you are viewing this site from the U.K and looking to check out one of my instruments stay in touch with either Treavor or myself about delivery dates.
I have installed pickups in 4 out of 5 the last guitars to leave the shop. I took this rash of pickup installs as an opportunity to test out some of the new pickups on the market. Interestingly enough, I still recommend the Highlander iP-1x for its tonal reproduction and also for the minimal intrusion that the external power supply offers.
Love the Highlander!
Love the Guitars!
More soon.
