The Confluence is a 12 fret guitar with a classically inspired shape. It features an offset soundhole with my modified fan bracing on the soundboard.
The fan braced guitars that I build offer exceptional clarity and definition while remaining harmonically rich through the upper registers. Fingerstyle players, chord melody jazz cats and flatpickers react strongly to the sound of this family of instruments.
The Confluence was born of my continued examination of the relationship between the steel string and classical guitar schools of consrtucion.
I am consistently motivated by the developments in each of these forms and am both marveled by and indebted to the work of past luthiers. It is my honor to bring this instrument into the world as a testament to the beauty of a lineage, born of generations of craftsmen dedicated to the art of the acoustic guitar.
The instrument displayed here has a Wester Red Cedar Soundboard. The back & sides are African Padauk. The binding, fingerboard & bridge are Bocote.
The Confluence is also available with any of the Spruce varieties or a Sinker Redwood top. Back & side options also abound.
